How A Note Book Can Help Your Business Grow

I am in my mobile home, I am away for the weekend, actually nearly a week. It is one of the benefits of earning my income online and it being residual. The problem is my laptop has just stopped working.

Usually when I am away I do not spend as much time working, but I enjoy what I do and at times I do not see it as work. Some people reading this will know, previously I worked with horses. I groomed, which meant I had the job of mucking out the horses. Now I am still at a show ground, but not working with the horses, as I did. Now I socialise with friends and watching the horses compete.

I have digressed, where was I? That is it, my computer was not working. Some would say, do not worry, relax and enajoy the time away. As I said "I enjoy what I do" So I thought I would pass on a tip I picked up along my travels. I know Richard Branson uses this tip, as do many successful entrepreneurs.

What is it? you may be asking. The answer is carry a simple note book. Why? because you often think of things you can implement in your business, marketing strategies amongst other things. Our brains work in strange ways and ideas and things you need to remember pop into our minds, at the strangest times. Writing them down means you will not forget them and you can come back to them when you have time. Over the week I have reviewed my notebook and wrote some articles.

Your notebook does not need to be anything fancy, something that fits into your pocket or bag. Do not forget your pen. There is another interesting use of a notebook is when you meet people who ask "What it is you do?" You can take their name and address and you will not lose it. Here is a technique adapted from Jim Rohn that I have used on occasion, that has worked well. Jim Rohn suggests replying "I have found a way to earn what I was earning in a month in a week, is that something that would interest You?" If they answer "Yes." give them a business card and write their contact details in your note book. If you do not do it then do it as soon as possible.

This is from Jim Rohn's talk on Network marketing, which is nothing less than inspirational and I would recommend it to anyone. Do not give people a pitch straight off, it is a good way to scare them away. You will come across as a bore and weirdo. Always remember people will be attracted to you not the opportunity. It does not matter what you are promoting whether online or off. If the people are not attracted to you as a person they will not want to work with you in any opportunity. So get their contact details and then go back to letting them get to know you. That is the crux of Attraction Marketing.

I know people who have gone one step further and after meeting someone will write something about them of interest. Then before they contact them they read it so they are reminded of the person. It can help some people to maintain a relationship with a person.

A note book can have many uses and they will help you with your business. It amazes me every time I review my notebook. I have often forgot the things I have written and it then come in very use full.
